Friends' Faire in the Village

Saturday, September 13th, Tom and Helene went to the Faire at the Lexington County Museum. Helene donated a drawing of a Dutch Oven for the silent auction. There were two bidders, and the winner looked happy with his purchase.

At the museum, there was a real Dutch Oven. It was pretty big.

Tom showed Helene a dairy. It's where they would keep their dairy products... no refridgeration or ice.

We saw something intriguing. Our guess is this was used for beekeeping.

There was a big outhouse there. It had three seats!

We couldn't decide if this was a root cellar, a doghouse, or something else....

Tom got a little hungry and took advantage of the feeding trough.

We took a walk around the neighborhood, and took a picture of the monument marking the site where the hymn, "Old Time Religion" was first recorded.

For dinner, we had BBQ buffet catered by Porky D's. There was also live music. We had a fun time at the Faire!
